Raksha Bandan 2023 – It is a festival celebrated by hindus to show the love and bond between the brothers and sister. Every year, the celebration takes place on the Poornima Tithi (full moon day) of Shravan Maas (the month of the swan). On this day, siblings honor one another by engaging in a number of traditions. Brothers swear to guard their sisters, love and appreciate them, and present them the gifts they admire while sisters tie rakhi on their brother’s hands, apply tilak on their foreheads, and pray for their prosperity and long lives. However, brothers now also fasten the Rakhi on the hands of their sisters. By tying Rakhi on each other’s wrists, sisters also commemorate the occasion. You need to be fully aware of this celebration if you and your siblings are remembering the day. Learn more by scrolling through.

Raksha Bandan history
Hindus place a great deal of importance on Raksha Bandhan. One of the myths surrounding this occasion comes from the Mahabharata epic. According to legends, Lord Krishna sliced his finger on the Sudarshan Chakra by mistake. Draupadi noticed this and tore a piece of fabric from her saree, tying it to the wound to halt the bleeding. She made a touching gesture, and Lord Krishna pledged to look out for her always. When the Kauravas attempted to embarrass Draupadi in front of the Hastinapur royal court, he kept his word and prevented her from being publicly humiliated.
